Abstract

Home automation is a key driver of technological transformation in homes and educational environments. This article presents the development and implementation of a learning module to control lighting, climate systems, and security through IoT, aimed at technical education. The study, based on a quantitative applied approach, was conducted at the “Luis Tello” Higher Technological Institute. The methodology included a literature review, technical design, and experimental validation. Results show a functional, adaptable, and reliable module that enables interaction with sensors, actuators, and IoT controllers in a safe learning environment. It promotes active learning, digital competencies, and practical understanding, strengthening local innovation in Ecuadorian technical education.
